Quantity and quality

Here’s a quote from a recent blog post from Tom Peters:

You will be remembered in the long haul for the quality of your work, not the quantity of your work—the quantity part is just your defective ego talking—no one evaluates Picasso based on the number of paintings he churned out.

Unless you make money for a living then the quatity will be the quality of your work. Maybe no one evaluates Picasso based on the number of paintings he made but I beleive that most people far more impressed by the the price of a Picasso than the brush strokes it’s made up of.

  2. Tom Peters? Is he still alive? We were studying him in B-School at SMU back in 1983. He was a favorite with the Organizational Behavior folks way back in the good ol’ days. (Hell, every prof I ever had was jealous of his book and success.)
