That is too cool! (I looked up pentatonic on Wikipedia, and the business about hemitonic or anhemitonic was beyond me. But I liked seeing the connection with the Orff method in kid’s music education.)

Pentatonic scale is when you never use certain tones in scale. C major pentatonic scale would be C, D, E, G, A, and finally C. You see, there are 5 (penta-) tones. And you can see in the video that Bobby McFerrin never “stepped” on certain tones :)
