3.5 ways to subscribe to this blog

Here are three and a half ways to subscribe to this blog.

  1. RSS. If you’re unfamiliar with RSS, here’s a video explaining what it is and how to use it. The video makes a nice analogy. Visiting blogs is like going to Blockbuster for a video. RSS is like Netflix where the video comes to you. Also, here’s an article introducing RSS.
  2. Email. Several people have asked me about a way to subscribe to the blog by email lately, so last night I added a box on the right side of the page that lets you enter your email address and subscribe that way.
  3. Podcast. You can listen to this blog as a podcast via a service called Odiogo. The audio is computer-generated and works better on some posts than others. Details here.

What’s the half way? You can use Outlook as an RSS reader, so that’s sorta method 1.5.

  1. Eric Wilson says:

How about, following you on twitter, and clicking on the links announcing a new post? Is that half a way?

  2. Jason says:

Next they’ll make it so you can use Outlook to read your e-mail!

  3. Thunderbird can also read RSS feeds.
