Communicate

I communicate clearly. I particularly enjoy explaining technical concepts to non-technical people. Too often technical analysis is wasted because decision makers do not understand its significance. As Sam Savage put it in his book Flaw of Averages,

Organizations spend millions on large analytical models that they never use because no one figured out how to connect them to the seat of the CEO’s pants.

I developed my presentation skills by teaching at several universities and speaking at conferences. I developed my writing skills by writing journal articles and over 2,000 blog posts. And I have developed my ability to listen by being a consultant.

If you would like for me to speak at your company or conference, or if you would like to hire someone who can explain technical material clearly, please let me know.
